They fell in love with Molokai several decades ago, and would like to share their love of the Island with a brief literary tour. Molokai well deserves its name as "The Friendly Isle." There are nearly 8,000 residents of Molokai, and they all share a love for the Island and the 'simple life.' Of all the Hawaiian Islands, Molokai remains the only Island that is yet quite untouched by time. Situated halfway between the islands of Maui and Oahu, Molokai offers the romantic serenity and lure of old Hawaiiana. Step back in time and enjoy secluded white sand beaches, ancient fish ponds, the world's steepest sea cliffs, quaint little towns and some of the friendliest local people in all of the islands. You won't find one stop light on the island and you won't miss it either. These premier vacation rentals are located in the Kaluakoi Resort on the west coast of Molokai Hawaii (take a peak at our website's Map of Molokai). Sunbathe on our beautiful white sand beaches, take a dip in the fresh water oceanside swimming pool, stroll the lush grounds under swaying palms. Once the site of a gorgeous 18 hole Ted Robinson golf course (temporarily closed), now golf enthusiasts can experience the challenges of Ironwood Golf Course, a short drive away. Visit Kumu Farms (right by the airport) and purchase fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables. (The Farm ships thousands of pounds of produce to the mainland weekly!) Stroll the quaint towns of Kaunakakai and Maunaloa. Hike the valley's of Halawa. Tour the historical Meyer Sugar Mill and the Purdy Macadamia Nut Farm. Take a Mule-drawn wagon ride through the Molokai Coffee Plantation. Molokai is filled with history -- just waiting for you to discover! Kaluakoi #2191 is truly one of the most uniquely renovated condos on the island, a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit. #2186 has a loft with King Bed and its own bath, with a sofa bed and 2nd full bath on the main floor. #2185 and #2202 both have loft bedrooms with a sofa sleeper in the living room. All units have beautiful ocean views from their 2nd story lanai's. If you enjoy traveling with family or friends, you'll be pleased to know that 2 of these condos are side-by-side in 'Hale' (building) 18, another right next door in Hale 19, and the 4th in Hale 20. Whether having morning papaya and coffee, or sipping cocktails at sunset, any one of the lanais of these upstairs units will become a favorite place to "take it all in!"
